Do not assume every item in a mixed warehouse has the same halal status. Ask for the certifier, current certificate, facility name and exact SKU or product list covered.
If hand slaughter, mechanical slaughter, stunning, segregation or shared equipment matters to you, ask directly. “Halal” on a homepage does not answer every sourcing question.
Compare case weight, trim, glaze on frozen seafood, delivery fees and yield—not just the price printed on the box.
Ask whether the minimum is per SKU, per order, by dollar value or by pallet. Some distributors accept mixed cases; others do not.
Know the case dimensions, frozen or chilled condition, delivery window and shelf life before the truck arrives.
Test cut consistency, flavour, packaging and delivery reliability before changing a high-volume menu item or committing to a recurring order.
They can be useful for bulk rice, oil, flour, beverages, disposables and selected halal-labelled products. However, inventory and certification can vary by warehouse and SKU. Treat a mixed wholesaler as a place to compare products—not as a blanket guarantee that everything sold there is halal. Read the label, identify the certifier and re-check when packaging or suppliers change.
